One of the most impressive aspects is the rust resistance of the pieces — despite years of use, none of the brushes, rods, or attachments have corroded. I’m reviewing the DAC gun cleaning kit based on what I received, and while your experience may vary, I have to say this kit exceeded my expectations. My set came with an impressive selection of 9 brass rods, 10 brass brushes, 7 mops, 5 plastic handle brushes (including 2 double-headed ones), 2 boxes of cleaning patches (large and small), 2 handles (one of which fits a free-spinning rod), and an incredible 13 jags. The package also claimed to include 5 brass adapters, but I actually received 6, with no duplicates — definitely a pleasant surprise. I could nitpick about minor things, but for the price, the value is unbeatable. One downside is the lack of instructions, which would have been helpful for someone like me who has only used boresnakes for cleaning long guns. While this kit offers everything needed for a more thorough clean, including deep cleaning of the breech, receiver, and bolt, figuring out which adapter goes where can be a bit confusing without guidance. However, the sheer completeness of the kit more than makes up for this small inconvenience. The only things missing are solvent and oil, which are easy to pick up separately. Initially, I thought about deducting a star for the lack of assembly instructions, but the overall quality, variety, and completeness of the kit convinced me otherwise — this deserves a full 5-star rating. If you order this set, you may be as lucky as I was and receive an even more comprehensive and versatile kit than expected. The 13 jags alone make this kit far superior to standard cleaning sets that only include slotted tips. Highly recommended for gun owners looking for a complete and affordable cleaning solution!

I wasn’t expecting much when I ordered this kit for under $9, but I was pleasantly surprised by its quality and functionality. I wanted a compact, durable kit to keep in my range bag, and this one fits the bill perfectly. The heavy-duty plastic case is surprisingly well-made, featuring a solid latch and a metal hinge pin for added durability. A thoughtful touch is the non-slip rubber coating on the bottom, which keeps it from sliding around on surfaces. Given the low price, the overall build quality exceeded my expectations. The rod handle is made of plastic but feels very sturdy, featuring metal inserts that add durability. One end has a threaded insert for attaching the cleaning rod, while the other end has a 1/4” hex slot for inserting screwdriver bits. The rubber coating on the handle provides a comfortable grip, and there’s even a hole for inserting a rod section to add extra leverage when needed. This small but well-designed detail enhances usability and control during cleaning. The kit also includes six screwdriver bits stored in a plastic holder: Torx T20, Square 7/64, Phillips #2 and #1, and Slotted 3/16 and 3/8. While I’m not sure how useful this particular selection will be for me, I like that I can swap them out for bits I actually need. One of my favorite features is that one section of the two-piece rod rotates, allowing the brush and patches to follow the rifling, which ensures a more effective clean. The included accessories—a brass brush, a swab, a plastic slotted patch holder, a brass jag, and patches — are all decent quality, though the patches feel more like rag paper than cotton.
